I got to spend the afternoon with the sweetest little guy! Who absolutley loved his tummy... we would place him on his back and he'd role right over, I loved it! He had such a happy personality, and loved the camera, my kind of baby! His parents couldn't get enough of their little five month old. Cute, cute family it was so nice to meet you!

Farewell Portland

It was a beautiful morning, we got lucky with no rain, but boy oh boy was it chilly! Before taking off and moving to another state, this sweet family wanted photos that represented this chapter in their life... in Portland! Again, hats off to you guys for braving this cold weather-- good luck with the move and relocating! Here's a few I couldn't help but share...

Okay, this family totally wins the trooper award! It rained/snowed through their entire session... and they all still wanted to do them... even though I'm sure they were chilled to the bone and jumped for glee when I finished their families photos and they got to go warm up inside! You guys are awesome, here are a few of my favs... there are still plenty more to come.

only one of my favorite families EVER!

I was so excited when I got an email asking to do this families photos while they were all in town for Christmas, I just adore all of them! I have been friends with their oldest daughter for who knows how long... we all got married and went our separate ways, so it was indeed a delight to meet up with them on Christmas Eve! Hope everyone traveled safely back to their homes.. it was sooo great to see you all!

We got caught right in the middle of a nasty nasty snow storm for this families session... we quickly made a detour when we showed up to our destination and there was barely any visibility! Remember this sweet little 5lb newborn?


Well, a whole year has passed by! She is now celebrating her first birthday. She is still just itty bitty and the sweetest little girl ever! I don't know if I should even try to explain how beautiful little A's eyes were... not sure if you'd even believe me! Her mom and dad need to lock the doors now! Those boys will come a knockin!!! Gorgeous gorgeous baby girl, thanks for visiting me again!

I swear, the weather has held out this year... I have had soooo many sunny days, and only one cancellation due to rain, how lucky is that? I mean we do live in the NW. This session reminded me of how crazy nice it really has been... because, man was it cold for this family! My fingers had to defrost for sometime afterwards! But this family did totally awesome!! Half of them were even in dresses, thanks for sportin the cold so well, I had a great time with your family. Just a few from our fun session a few days ago...

m&m's to the rescue.

Good thing mom came prepared with those sweet little candies, they sure worked like a charm! These kids were just the sweetest to work with, and check out their style... my, my have they grown since last year! I'm hoping I can find the little ladies coat in my size somewhere? Thanks for working with me and my bad sense of direction, I really shouldn't leave home without my GPS. Hope you like a few of my favorites from our session!

Another downtown crew..

I got so excited when this family chose the downtown location, I love this spot more and more everytime I show up! To top it off, for some reason... I have had the best luck with weather when coming here, I'm talking beautiful-sunny-not a cloud in sight days in November?!? I'm thinking this might just be the last gorgeous day before the 4 month streak of winter rain hits the Portland area... but I am hopeing to be wrong! What a cute family I had the chance to get to know and photograph a few days ago, they had quite the goofy personalities which made them warm up to me fast, letting me capture some great images.
