Sophia {4 weeks.}

A lot of photographers have the same age preference when it comes to photographing newborns, preferably under 2 weeks of age, the younger the better. You just get better results- as far as those sweet newborn poses. They are more curly, sleepy, and more than anything they CHANGE daily. They will never be as small as they are in those first two weeks, so it's fun to capture! Sophia, on the other hand, was an exception to this rule. She is still just itty bitty, sleepy, and curled right up.. and take a look at all that gorgeous hair! It's one of my most favorite things to do, photographing newborns... especially when the mom of this sweet angel is a dear friend!

Sawyer {5 days.}

My sweet neighbor had her fourth handsome little boy last week, I was so excited to finally meet him, what a sweet little angel he is. He has the cutest little dimples {which I wish I could have captured better} just like his brothers, he is surely so loved. It was so nice to meet you little Sawyer.

kekoa {9 days.}

Little Koa, is such a beautiful newborn, just like his sister was when I photographed her at just 4 days old... 14 months ago! Arriving just a few weeks early made him very sleepy and he let me pose him in all sorts of cute curly newborn positions, such a sweet little boy. What a blessing he is to this loving family.

I was so excited to re-connect with these boy's mom, I went to high school with her and haven't seen her since! It was great to visit for a bit, and meet her adorable family... their two boys are just the cutest. They have the most gorgeous blue eyes, and sweetest little personalities! Having two toddlers is no easy task, I have been there, but these guys were pros at keeping it all together!

As you can imagine, my own kids are in front of my lens, probably too often. But I rarely get the chance to sit down and spend time going through and editing them. I had to just peak at a few I took today of my sweet baby girl, Avery. She will be three in June, so technically she really isn't a baby anymore, and she is proving this to me, constantly. Like today, while eating lunch, she leaned over, "Momma I want to tell you something in your ear." I leaned in, and she whispered so soft, "I loooove you." She just melts my heart, simple as that.

kendall {6 months}

A lot has happened since I last saw Miss Kendall , she has grown just a bit and is almost mobile! She has the most gorgeous blue eyes and will be sure to break a heart or two in the next few years... if she hasn't already?

I looooove this weather! It has been so nice to sneak outside on sessions and actually work with the sun! It's been a while! We definitely got lucky with this session, it was probably the warmest it has been since October... at least. It was oh, so lovely. I got even more excited when I met these super cute parents to be, they are so excited to meet their new little one in the next few weeks. They are having the gender be a surprise, which I think is so fun! I'm just not sure I could ever do it! So here's my guess, I think they will have a {drum roll, please} a boy.. keep in mind I was wrong with the guesses of my two babes! We will just have to find out in the next few weeks!

a few in color.

I just finished sweet baby Estelle's gallery tonight and thought I'd share just a few more... I typically use this brighter green backdrop specifically for black and white images (it leaves an awesome contrast) and stick to the softer, calmer colors with newborns but I had to throw these out there! I kinda like this pop of color.

i love this cute little face, my babies used to make it all the time, an we just loved it!

Collin. {14 days}

This guy was just itty bitty, a whopping 5 and a half pounds! He came a bit early but is healthy and just the sweetest thing. He was so sleepy and just fun to work with, such a good little model and made the cutest sounds as we moved him around! He is welcomed by a very loving family, including a big sister who adores her little brother already. Meet Collin...


Collin's dad served our country in Afghanistan, he is already proud of his daddy.. as is the rest of our country!
